What Size Does a 10 Pound Baby Wear
Do 10 lb babies fit in newborn size clothes?
I hope I do not have a 10 lb babe, simply simply in case, will he fit into newborn sizes? I want to get an outfit to bring baby home, simply I am worried I volition buy information technology, wash it, and so he may not be able to fit into information technology and I accept wasted money. Advice please & cheers!!

He should be able to fit into it. My DD was 8 lbs and I hadn't bought whatever new born apparel - just 0-iii months and she was Pond in them for well-nigh a calendar month. So a new built-in out fit might not fit a ten lb baby for long - simply I'yard certain information technology should fit to come abode in :-)

No, newborn clothes are for 5-8lbs and are a waste of coin IME

10 lb babies will virtually probable fit into a small 3 month clothes or maybe larger 0-3 calendar month... my baby was built-in at 8.6 oz and was able to use newborn outfits only for a week or and then...
I didn't know the sex activity of my babe... so what I did I bought 2 outfits and one time I had my baby, I had my mom wash information technology for me and bring it to the hospital... perhaps you have a friend or a family member who can do that for yous:)

NO he will not. newborn is 5lbs-8lbs.
he would need a 0-3mos outfit which is 8-12lbs. i personally don't buy newborn sized outfits because i'd rather have an outfit be a piffling loose on the babe, vs non having an outift fit at all considering the baby is too big for information technology- and since no one tin guarantee the size of babe when they popular out, that to me is the safest bet.

My nephew was born at 11 pounds 3 ounces and was able to fit in newborn clothes for about 1 month, remember afterward birth babies usually lose a few ounces too, so fifty-fifty a 10 pounder ordinarily goes down to ix something when leaving infirmary.

my daughter was 8lbs, 8 oz and 21 inches and never actually fit into newborn clothes.

x pounders don't typically fit in newborn size clothing... my husband weighed x lbs, 8oz and my MIL said she had to get direct to 3 months... lol...
I know some people bring a couple outfits in instance one fits amend than some other. -
I've never had one ;) only since they say upwardly to 8lbs I'thou guessing non... My nephew was 9lbs and was wearing i of the "upwardly to 3 months" outfits in the hospital.

I call up virtually newborn clothes go up to 8lbs..so 0-3 months may exist a amend option if you think you are having a big infant. My DD was 6lbs 4oz and fit in preemie wearing apparel..but she was as well on 18 i/2 inches tall which is a little shorter than most..so it really simply depends. I wouldn't but any if I were y'all..yous tin always go them later the baby is born if the clothes are too big.

10 pounds not likely to fit into new born apparel. My Godson was born 10.5 pounds and he went directly into 0 to 3 calendar month wearing apparel and into size i diapers!
